On July 22, 2015, I signed a contract with Springer to write a book about the great American eclipse. Because this is an event that will occur on a specific date (August 21, 2017), both the writing and production schedule had to be shortened. So, I agreed to provide the manuscript and all images (at least 75) by October 31, 2015. And, indeed, I actually beat that goal with an incredible amount of understanding and help from my wife (and superb graphic designer), Holley.
If I understand the schedule and what I read on the Springer website, the book should appear in print June 8, 2016. Here’s hoping we beat the deadline once again. Anyway, we do have a cover. Take a look:
